WHO ARE WE?
We are a family run business, managed and staffed by local people from the local community. We offer indoor, container and vehicle storage. Our main goal is to make sure that everyone within our RG10 postcode comes to us first and we can give them what we call our Sheeplands Hug and make storage a stress free experience.

Like many farms in the UK we have diversified our business over time to make our land work harder for us. For many years we were solely a fruit farm, however over the past twenty years we have become an Multi-Award-Winning Storage business. We have retained a large section of the farm as a fruit supplier, providing berries to large supermarket chains. We have converted many of our original farm buildings into a thriving business hub where we offer local businesses the chance to take affordable business space in a lovely environment. These range from a local chocolate factory; a wine merchant, a flooring company, a cosmetic silver company to an art studio and St James’ Place Wealth Management. In addition to the commercial business we have Sheeplands Self Storage, an award winning growing business offering indoor, outdoor container and vehicle storage.

Our Story
Sheeplands Self Storage is a very community based local business with customer service and security at the heart of everything we do. We are local people running a local business and we try to go the extra mile to help. We have invested in a huge number of CCTV cameras for the site to make sure you feel safe when you store with us, these are monitored and we have great feedback from our customers, who, on their google reviews have advised that the cameras and the lighting made them feel very safe when they accessed their belongings out of hours. We also operate a coded entry system and have a security team doing surveillance checks at different times throughout the day and night.
Come and visit us in our award winning site office, we are proud to have won best sustainability initiative 2023 for our carbon negative office, using solar panels and biomass to power and heat. Very recently we have been awarded with the UK’s No.1 Independent Storage Facility award!
1910
WR Bennett Ltd was established by William Robert Bennett who originally owned a horse and carriage hire business in London and wanted to move into farming. All the vegetables were grown at the Home Farm in Bedfont, Middlesex and sold at Covent Garden Market. The Bennett family continued to farm in Bedfont for many years until they relocated to Sheeplands Farm Wargrave.
1960's
The Bennett family left Bedfont Middlesex in 1967 and moved into Wargrave, a small village located near Henley, Reading and Maidenhead.
2000's
In the 2000's Mark and Ryan Bennett worked with their father to diversify and create a business which played to the strengths of the land and surrounding are which is served by very good transportation links out of London. The small commercial hub came first when existing farm buildings were re purposed into premises for small businesses or office space. A large percentage of the farm was still used for fruit farming.
2010's
New decade for the Bennett family and a time when the first sea grade outdoor containers were purchased and the self storage business started to grow.
2020's
The Lockdown years were very prosperous for self storage businesses as people took the time to de clutter, rejuvenate or move home. In line with the demand our business grew and we were able to build a new site office, entirely powered by sustainable energy, for which we won an award in 2023, for Best Sustainable Initiative 2023 - CSTA. In 2024, we have been awarded the No.1 Independent Storage Facility in the UK by the Self Storage Association (SSA)! We now have two large indoor storage buildings, over 400 containers and many spaces for caravans, boats and other vehicle storage. Which keeps us all very busy!
